Our Story

Sometimes life surprises you with exactly what you didn’t know you needed. For us, that was The Nut House Bar — the place that brought together an unforgettable cast of characters, lifelong friends, and, in August 2015, the start of our love story.
We bonded over peanut shells handed out by a caged gorilla, mysterious hot pink lipstick stains on shot glasses (seriously, whose were those?), debates about why the men’s bathroom had carpeted walls (looking at you, Tony), and putting in “shifts” even though we didn’t actually work there.
Somehow, it all just clicked — a high-maintenance woman and an IT guy, finding something real in the chaos. We were officially married on December 26, 2017 at the Redwood City courthouse, and now ten years later, along with our son jett, we are finally celebrating the wedding we never had, with the people who matter most.
Our love is as strong as our immune systems from drinking at the Nut House.
From the golden state of California our love story keeps rising to the mountain peaks of Colorado. Cheers!

We are hosting an adults-only celebration, so please arrange for childcare in advance.

San Benito House is located in Downtown Half Moon Bay, a charming and walkable area popular with visitors—especially on weekends.
If you're staying at a nearby hotel or rental, we recommend booking an Uber or Lyft in advance, as on-demand ride availability can be limited in the area.
Street parking is limited, so please allow extra time to find parking or consider carpooling when possible.
